When a small school was planning a performance at the Kennedy Center, they asked P.W. Feats for help. The school's primary goal for the evening
was to celebrate their centennial; a secondary goad was to look like a larger
institution and attract more students and high-level donors. To maximize the impact of the concert hall’s cache, P.W. Feats suggested combining the centennial celebration with a two-year development campaign using the concert as the kick-off.
P.W. Feats created a campaign slogan, identity and a series of events inspired by the school’s outstanding music department and talented orchestra.
For the big night at the Kennedy Center, Columbia Union College invited internationally renowned conductor John Rutter to perform with the school’s orchestra.
Tickets were sold through the box-office and there was a full house on performance night. To help set the tone for the evening, P.W. Feats arranged for an elegant reception for the school’s VIPs and major donors on the terrace of the Kennedy Center. Afterward, they were escorted to the theater where they found the two front rows cordoned off, giving them the best seats in the house.
