x The International Spy Museum Grand Opening

Creating a spectacle is easy but P.W. Feats believes that the only spectacle worth doing is one that is meaningful and has the power to inspire and resonate for years to come. In this case, it was compelling enough for the likes of The Today Show and Good Morning America.

P.W. Feats was asked to plan and execute the public launch of the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C.  Along with a press reception, hospitality industry sneak preview and VIP gala, Feats created a public opening filled with excitement and intrigue worthy of the world's first public institution dedicated to the history and craft of espionage.

The grand opening performance drew a public crowd of more than 5, 000.  This original production featured a choreographed aerialist “spy” show that used the museum building roof, sides and front as its stage. And in lieu of the more traditional, staid ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Feats team employed an old spy trick, the “triple switch.” When actual Washington, D.C. Mayor Anthony Williams was finally revealed, our building-scaling spies descended the building, slashing the block-wide ribbon, declaring the building officially open.

Press coverage included regional, national and international print and televised media outlets. All Washington, D.C. station affiliates of ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX were in attendance, as well as CNN.  And The Today Show, Good Morning America and Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood were all there to memorialize this outstanding spectacle.

Mission Accomplished.
